The Conker Safety Seat is a child bike seat developed to support everyday family cycling in busy, stop-start environments. It is designed with a strong focus on enclosure, coverage, and usability while remaining lightweight and practical for normal riding.

The Conker Safety Seat is intended to provide a calm, confidence-inspiring way to carry a child on a bicycle. Its form is designed to offer increased coverage around the head, upper body, and legs compared with conventional child seats. It is designed for real-world use: straightforward to clean and suitable for typical British weather.

The first production batch of the Conker Safety Seat is available for pre-order. Delivery within mainland UK will be free when units are ready. Our current target is to begin deliveries within the next 3-4 m0nths.

The Conker SAFETY Seat

The Conker Seat is our child safety seat designed to make everyday family cycling feel calmer, safer, and more fun. The Conker Seat is a high quality bike seat that aims to include additional head, leg and upper-body protection. The seat includes 20mm of high-quality closed cell foam lining the seat. It is built for real-life use – easy to clean and keeping the worst of hot sun or cold rain off your child. You may be surprised to discover that the shell of the Conker Seat only adds a little over 4kg compared to child seats without the extra protection of the Conker Safety Seat. A small price to pay for the extra safety and weather protection, especially when you consider that a child alone can weigh 15kg! The shape of the Conker Seat causes very little drag because it sits directly behind the adult. You may not even notice it! You can cycle just like normal but with the extra confidence of a more secure and sheltered ride.

  • The Conker Safety Seat is a child bike seat designed to increase coverage around the head, upper body and legs compared with conventional seats. It has a robust outer shell and 20mm of closed cell foam lining.

  • Children from the age at which they can safely be placed in a child seat and when they attain a weight of 15kg.

  • The seat uses a secure mounting system compatible with standard adult bicycles. Currently, we have a rack mounted version. A seat post mounted version is in development.

  • Yes. It is a full alternative to standard child seats but designed with additional enclosure and coverage features to keep off the weather and provide a more confidence inspiring ride.

  • The Conker safety Seat is fully compliant with the relevant European and British standards for child bike seats.

  • In short, no. The seat comes as a single product. Use of other seats is not supported and will invalidate all warranties.

  • Materials are selected for typical outdoor cycling conditions. Cleaning, care, and maintenance guidance will be provided in the user manual. But, in brief, the seat is designed to be easy to clean and will dry quickly in the event of rain.

    While the Conker Seat will protect your child from rain, wind and sun - we do not recommend using any child seat in exceptionally windy weather and parents must satisfy themselves that their child is safe.

  • No! The shell around the seat is oly just over 4kg - which is not a huge weight considering a child can be 15kg! Surprisingly, because the seat is behind the adult, we find that the seat adds next to no drag or wind resistance compared toother seats.
